Benefiting Central Florida Public School Pantries

Lisa MooreWith more than eight years of experience in community relations and outreach, and another eight working in various leadership capacities with Seminole County Public Schools as an educator, Moore brings a diverse professional background and a wealth of knowledge to Kick Off For Kids.

Prior to her current role as President of Kick Off For Kids, she acted as Community Relations Director for Kavaliro for several years and has been a driving force behind many successful community outreach initiatives. She has overseen and organized events in support of Florida Hospital for Children, Hospice of the Comforter, Darrell Armstrong Foundation For Premature Babies, and Special Olympics to name a few .

Moore has served in various leadership roles in the Seminole County Public Schools system, including being a teacher union advocate, behavior specialist, parent advocate, new teacher mentor, and organized several school wide fundraisers for local community causes. During that time, she had the opportunity to work with students of different backgrounds and oversee educators within a variety of settings. She was nominated for the Disney American Teacher Award and Teacher of the Year for Seminole County.

Giving back to the community through a variety of charitable organizations, Moore regularly makes financial contributions to Florida Hospital for Children, PALS – Providing Autism Links and Support, Children’s Cancer Research, University of Central Florida Golden Knights Club, and the University of Central Florida Foundation. She has led community efforts to collect donations for Toys for Tots, BETA House, Haiti relief efforts, numerous food drives, Vietnam Veterans of America, the American Veterans Association, Adopt-A-Platoon, Project AVA, and a local family in need of financial assistance for their child’s medical treatment. She also donates her time and effort to several church organizations, including  volunteering in her children’s Sunday School classes and as a church youth leader for Habitat for Humanity and soup kitchen service projects. Moore serves as classroom volunteer for Orange County Public Schools and is very active in her daughters’ school serving on the PTO board.

Mrs. Moore received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo.  She continued her education at Troy University where she earned her Master of Science Degree. She currently resides in Orlando with her husband, Mark Moore, and their two children, Jordyn and Kylar.
